U.S. Congressman William Enyart, D-Ill., visited the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville East St. Louis Center on Thursday.
Enyart met with Andrew Theising, director of the SIUE East St. Louis Center and the Institute for Urban Research, and Jerry Weinberg, SIUE associate provost for Research and dean of the Graduate School.
Among other things, the congressman also spoke with graduating seniors from the SIUE East St. Louis Charter High School, East St. Louis City Mayor Alvin Parks and representatives from the East St. Louis School District #189.
Enyart and his staff toured the William Frederick Graebe Sr. STEM Learning Center and the classes and offices of the SIUE Charter High School.
