The annual Southern Illinois University Edwardsville University Housing’s Dean’s List Reception was held Tuesday, Feb. 5 in Evergreen Hall. The event recognized University Housing residents who made the fall 2018 Dean’s List.
Campus administrators, faculty members and housing staff members joined recipients and their families during the celebration of student success. The ceremony included remarks from Chancellor Randy Pembrook and Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Miriam Roccia.
During the fall 2018 semester, 753 University Housing residents achieved the Dean’s List honor. The criterion for making the list is a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Of those students, 339 earned a 4.0 GPA.
“When I looked at my 4.0 GPA, I was so surprised I almost cried,” said freshman January Probst, of Swansea. “I’m excited about my achievement.”
“It’s wonderful that SIUE hosts an event like this to celebrate student success,” 
added a parent in attendance.
