SIUE alumnus John Marshall has been a lasting positive influence in the lives of his students at East Alton-Wood River (EAWR) High School for years.
He was once again honored as Teacher of the Year for his outstanding work as an educator at the Silver Medallion Academic Excellence Awards Banquet on Thursday, March 21. He earned the award once previously in 1999.
Marshall earned both a bachelor’s and master’s in history from SIUE in 1993 and 2003, respectively. He teaches social studies at EAWR High School.
