SIUE’s Arts & Issues Community Outreach Takes Temple Grandin to Belleville

Temple GrandinDr. Temple Grandin, inspiration, advocate and hero for the autistic, gave her presentation: “Different Kinds of Minds” Thursday, Feb. 27 at SIUE’s Morris University Center Meridian Ballroom as part of the Arts & Issues series.

Willing to participate in Arts & Issues’ community outreach efforts, Grandin visited the Belleville School District’s Bridges Program the next morning. Belleville News-Democrat writer Dan Kelly wrote about Grandin’s appearance in an article posted later that day.

Grandin has gained worldwide recognition for her autism advocacy, research and publications. She has overcome great challenges and is known as “the most accomplished and well-known adult with autism in the world.”
