Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Department of Dance is celebrating 45 years of artistic expression and entertainment.
Dance in Concert 2014, which is an alumni concert, will open at 7:30 p.m. today. Show times are at 7:30 p.m. from today through Saturday, Nov. 15. The alumni reception will begin immediately following the concert on Saturday. A matinee showing is set for 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16. All shows will be in the Dunham Hall Theater.
The concert is choreographed by faculty and alumni. Returning alumni include Geoffrey Alexander, Lynn M. Bobzin, J. Calvin Jarrell, Shannon McCarkel and Keith Tyrone Williams. Kristin Best Kinscherff, head of the Dance Program, is also one of the choreographers.
Celebrate the poetic beauty of the human body through the interpretive lends of some of the most creative choreographers today.
Tickets are general admission at $12 for adults and $10 for seniors, children, and non- SIUE students with a valid school I.D. SIUE students with a valid I.D. get in free.
