Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s Department of Theater and Dance will present two 1-act plays by famed English playwright, Caryl Churchill.
Curtain times are 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2 through Saturday, Dec. 6. Matinee times are at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6 and 7. All performances will be in the Metcalf Theater on the campus of SIUE.
Far Away and A Number are two 1-act plays by Churchill, an English dramatist who has been acknowledged as a major playwright in the English language, and one of the world’s most influential theatre writers.
Churchill explores the landscapes of current issues. Far Away takes the fear of war and how it can easily happen when we fear everything around us.
In A Number, Churchill takes the possibility of cloning into the realm of actuality with moral and ethical boundaries crossed.
Ticket prices are $10 and $12. SIUE students with valid identification get in free.
